Babyfit, non-profit organization focused on the education of developmental movement, is offering a Body-Mind Centering® course: The Endocrine System
The endocrine glands are the major chemical governing system of the body and are closely aligned with the nervous system. Their secretions pass directly into the blood stream and their balance or imbalance influences all of the cells in the body. The glands are the keystone between the organs and the nervous system and between the nervous system and the fluids. They create crystalline psychophysical states through which we are able to experience and understand the universal aspect of self.
This is the system of internal stillness, surges or explosions of chaos/balance and the crystallization of energy into archetypal experiences. The endocrine glands underlie intuition and the perceiving and understanding of the Universal Mind.
This course includes:
- Initiating breath, voice and movement from each of the following glands and bodies: perineal body, coccygeal body, gonads, adrenals, pancreas, thoraco body, heart body, thymus, thyroid, parathyroids, carotid bodies, pituitary, mammillary bodies and pineal gland.
- Distinguishing their reflex points.
- Aligning their energy centers along the spine.
- Establishing their relationships to bones and joints.
- Analyzing the glandular support of the spine and head.
The Endocrine System course in the approach of Body – Mind Centering® offers a unique chance to dive into an experiential exploring of your body, its functions and expressiveness.
It can be inspiring for everybody. For those of us working with movement, with infants, children or adults (physiotherapists, teachers of dance, yoga and tai-chi, dance therapists) it can offer new approaches to functional and healthy movement as well as new ways of repatterning and therapy.
This course does not require previous knowledge and is open for everyone. It can be taken individually or combined with other BMC® courses at any licensed BMC® program to become a Somatic Movement Educator (SME).
Practical information:
Duration: 13 – 17 September, 2019
The course will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia – just an hour train ride from Vienna, Austria. It is 5 days long. Every day we begin at 8.30 and finish at 18.00, lunch break is from 13.00 to 14.45. You will get a detailed schedule on the first day of the course.
The common language in class is English with consecutive translation to Slovak. Please, contact us if language is a concern.
Teachers: certified BMC® teachers – Walburga Glatz (Germany), Anna Sedlackova (Slovakia), Ferenc Kalman (Hungary).
Course fee: 650 €; reduced fee for residents of Eastern Europe: 530 €. With a full payment before 13 July 2019, you get a reduction of 50 €.
The course fee does not include accommodation, homework fees and insurance.
